ANNOUNCEMENTS:
MARDI-GRAS PARADE
We attended our first parade in Manitou Springs and even though we were very cold, it was a lot of fun. (WHO ORDERED THAT SNOW?)
It brought attention to our group and so far we have been getting emails about what we do. Even though it was cold, events like this help bring awareness to what were all about. We look forward to more in the future.
Photo courtsey of Mike Coletta. Visit him @
Another photo of our old Security Manager Kathy, her husband and their two boys. Very cold, but enjoying the parade. We miss their support.
Doing his best to stay warm and pass out candy was the Founder's son Jared, our mascot for the parade. He was a hit when we were announced by the Radio Team close to the end. Everybody gave us the OOOOOOOO... and he hammed it up. We especially thought it was cute how he would throw candy and then say "Well, pick it up!" Nothing like a 5 year old with attitude.

OCTOBER
OUR FAVORITE
TIME OF YEAR
This has to be my very favorite holiday of the year. I know I speak for most of my group when I say that. I have fond memories from my late grandmother who instilled the wonder and excitement of Halloween. She used to play the town witch in Manassa Colorado. She would take out her false teeth, paint her whole face green and stir the big cast iron pot filled with dry ice and water to greet trick-or-treaters at the door. She played it so well people would come from as far away as Del Norte just to see her. That spirit lives on in me and many of the group members. Happy Halloween...
